THE CHILDREN OF THE MARSHLAND
Long-awaited and much-requested THE CHILDREN OF THE MARSHLAND has finally arrived at The REGAL. The story is of a rural community in France during the 1930s depicting simpler lifestyles which, like the marshlands, have long since been drained of their sustaining nourishment.. The film is framed with the recollections of a childhood spent with family and friends, remembered now by an old woman. Jacques Villeret, Jacques Gamblin (from THE DINNER GAME), Andre Dussollier and Michel Serrault make up a fine cast under the direction of Jean Becker. (From France / English subtitles)
